Math and English Skills Assessment

  • Math and English Skills Assessment is required for all new undergraduate students who have not been determined exempt based on SAT scores, or have not transferred acceptable credits for MAT 101, MAT 200, MAT 201, MAT 205, or ENG 101 requirements.
  • For those students not meeting the prescribed standard, placement in English or Math Essentials is required.
  • A passing grade on the Assessment, or the Essentials course, is a prerequisite for English Comp I, or for the first math course required in a particular academic program.
  • Assessment must be completed prior to registering for a Math or English 101 course.
  • Confer early with your academic advisor to ensure appropriate course placement.

Student Resource Center

The purpose of the Student Resource Center is to provide free tutorial assistance in English, and mathematics. Wilmington University instructors offer tutoring services on a semester schedule which includes day and evening hours in room ACC 308A.
