THE RIGHT PATH
DR. OLUFOLAKE ADEPOJU walked across the winter commencement stage proud of her accomplishments, both academic and spiritual. Adepoju won a scholarship from Platinum
Education Group during her last semester in the Doctor
of Nursing program. While thankful for the monetary help, she views the win as confirmation that she’s “walking in her purpose.”
Her career and coursework focus on early intervention for birth-to-3-year-old children with developmental disabilities.
“I knew working with this population was my calling,” says Adepoju. “It was validating for the scholarship to come in time for the next chapter.”
Adepoju was one of three who won $1,000 scholarships. She earned the prize via an essay about her interests and a letter of recommendation from Dr. Margaret Rose Agostino, a WilmU adjunct faculty member and adviser.
She graduated with the hope of starting her own facility for children with developmental disabilities. She feels prepared to take on new challenges.
Says Adepoju: “When you are working in divine order, nothing can stop you.” WU
