Wilmington University offers several undergraduate and graduate teacher preparation programs that lead to initial teaching licenses and certification, including programs for students with undergraduate degrees in fields other than education. Programs are available in early childhood education (birth – grade 2), elementary education (K-6), elementary special education (1-8), middle level education (6-8) and secondary teaching (9-12). Undergraduate and graduate degree programs are also available for skilled and technical sciences teachers (formerly career/technical education or vocational/technical education). All teacher preparation programs are approved by the State of Delaware and are fully accredited by NCATE (National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
