Biography

Dr. Jim Warwick is the Director of Criminal Justice (CJ) programs at Wilmington University. He began teaching at Wilmington University as an adjunct instructor in 2010, teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate CJ programs.

Dr. Warwick earned a Doctorate of Education degree in Organizational Learning, Leadership & Innovation from Wilmington University and a Master’s Degree in the Administration of Justice, with a concentration in Homeland Security His dissertation research explored training and preparedness for responding to and stopping active shooters in the U.S.

With over 26 years of law enforcement experience, Dr. Warwick spent most of his career training police officers how to survive deadly encounters. His law-enforcement background included Patrol, K-9 Division, Special Operations Response Team, and Senior Weapons and Tactics Instructor.

Dr. Warwick is a Certified Firearms Instructor, Master Police Instructor, Interactive Use of Force Instructor, Low-Light Strategies Instructor, and a Force Science Analyst. He remains active with many professional law enforcement organizations.
