Letter to Students

Dear Students,

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to evolve, Wilmington University has been closely monitoring the advice and guidance of local, state, and national public health officials. Based on the information we currently have, and with the health and welfare of the entire University community foremost in our minds, we have made the decision to close the University, all locations, effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, through Sunday, March 29, 2020. Although we will be closed, all University business will continue to be conducted remotely. Students may still communicate with faculty, staff, or service departments electronically as we shift to working remotely at this time. In a previous communication, we indicated that the library would remain open; however, as the situation has continued to change and in compliance with New Castle County’s decision to close all public libraries, effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, our library will also close at all locations. We are bolstering our help desk coverage to support any issues that may arise as you attempt to work on your online classes. Email all issues including connecting or accessing the Internet to helpdesk@wilmu.edu. A trained staff member will be able to assist you or provide you with resources to address your problem.

The University will continue to monitor daily updates regarding the pandemic, and communication will be sent no later than Friday, March 27, 2020, if plans to reopen University offices have changed. We understand the stress and anxiety this situation has placed on our entire University community, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we strive to keep everyone as healthy and safe as possible.
