51st Commencement

On behalf of President Harmon, the administration, faculty, and staff of Wilmington University, we extend warmest congratulations on your academic achievements.

Due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in Delaware, it is with sadness that we are postponing all winter commencement ceremonies scheduled for Jan. 23, 2022. We plan to reschedule and will communicate that information as soon as possible. See Winter 2022 Commencement Postponed for more information.

Ceremony Guidelines and Procedures

We are implementing the following protocols to make you and your guests feel comfortable while attending graduation. Please note these essential points to ensure a safe and vibrant ceremony at the Chase Center on the Riverfront. Adhering to these rules will ensure the secure and meaningful celebration you deserve.

All participants will be required to:

  • Provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination(2 shots) (Your final vaccine dose must have been received at least 14 days before commencement.), or
  • a negative COVID-19 test that was taken within 72 hours of commencement

When entering the Chase Center:

  • You will be asked to present a hard-copy or digital version of your vaccination card, or
  • A negative test result for all students and guest regardless of age.

Face Masks

  • Face masks are required for all commencement participants over the age of 2, regardless of COVID-19 vaccinations.
