Coronavirus Update - Campuses and Sites Closure Extended

Dear Wilmington University Community,

As you may be aware, Delaware Governor John Carney continues to modify his State of Emergency declaration, requiring Delawareans to wear face coverings in public settings, including in grocery stores, convenience stores, pharmacies, doctor’s offices, and on public transportation. Clearly, the COVID-19 pandemic is still of critical concern, not just in Delaware, but in neighboring states as well.

Because everyone’s safety and well-being remain our top priority, the University will continue to operate remotely, with all campuses and sites remaining closed, through the end of Summer I, which is Tuesday, June 30.

Once restrictions are lifted, and it is safe to return to our locations, please be assured that we will take every necessary precaution to protect your safety and maintain social distancing. We will certainly adhere to guidelines from both the State of Delaware and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

We will continue to service and support our students, faculty, and staff throughout this crisis, and will keep you informed about the status of our campuses and sites as we assess conditions in mid-June.

Thank you for all you’ve done to persist in your learning and teaching in this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Dr. LaVerne T. Harmon
President
