Biography

Scholar-practitioner with teaching experience and over 15 years of service in higher education leadership. My professional portfolio includes experience in residence and commuter life, campus activities, new student orientation, leadership development, supervision, first-year experience, academic partnerships, assessment, accreditation, curriculum development, course instruction, diversity and social justice, and civic engagement.

Professional interests include graduate student mentorship, supervision, professional development, assessment, curriculum development, course design, leadership education, and teaching.  Research interests include first-year student success and emotional intelligence.  I am also interested in the current higher education climate and fostering equitable and inclusive work environments to support and retain historically disadvantaged staff and faculty.

I enjoy advising doctoral students through the dissertation process and designing and teaching courses involving student affairs, program development and assessment, ethical leadership, and academic research and writing.
