All Wilmington University instructors now have access to the new WilmU Learning Center. This is a Training Management System that will enable you to access a centralized repository of all trainings offered by the Educational Technology Department and Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE).   Please review the chart below and investigate the links to extend your understanding about the WilmU Learning Center to register for required and elective workshops on the Pathways to Instructional Excellence.

2 Easy Steps to Register for a Workshop in the WilmU Learning Center:

Watch this 90 second video to see the entire registration process. Alternatively, follow these step-by-step directions: 

  1. Login to the WilmU Learning Center – remember to use your existing @wilmu.edu email address and password to log in.

  2. Now that you’re logged in, review the workshop topics listed in the table below. Then click on a workshop’s title to review the schedule of upcoming sessions. To the right of the session date you want to attend, click the green “Register” button. That’s it!

Pathways Program Overview  


Identify your progress between the four levels on the Pathway to Instructional Excellence. This system allows you see your overall progress and identify which required and elective trainings you still need to complete to move up to the next level. 



Register for  Ed Tech and CTE Training  


View the workshop calendar and register for upcoming Blackboard trainings that all faculty are required to complete. Also, sign up for other Ed Tech and CTE professional development workshops such as PowerPoint, Ed Tech tools, Multimedia tools, and other instructional/andragogy topics.   

Receive Credit for Prior Knowledge  


Complete comprehension quizzes to “opt-out” of a workshop. Eligible faculty can receive credit for specific workshops based on their prior work experience and knowledge. For example, if you know how to create PowerPoints with different layouts, animations, and slide transitions, then you can test out of the Basic Presentation Tools workshop!

Access, download, and print:  

  • Workshop agendas  
  • Copies of the presentation’s PowerPoint  
  • Any associated materials that serve as a step-by-step reference manual
