Something Great is Brewing in Kent and Sussex County
Come on Out to WilmU Alumni’s Summertime Taste and Tour and Fordham-Dominion Brewery
On August 22nd, WilmU’s Kent and Sussex County Alumni Chapter will be hosting a summertime Fordham-Dominion Taste and Tour. This chapter is no stranger to the Fordham-Dominion allure. In the past they have hosted similar gatherings in the month of October, but this year they just didn't want to wait that long! With an Endless Summer theme WilmU alumni and friends are invited to come out and enjoy a relaxing evening, sample a number of intriguing craft brew beers and learn more about the opportunities available to all alumni through the Wilmington University Alumni Association.
Fordham-Dominion brewery, located right here in Dover, DE, is the producer of many quality beers, and hand crafted sodas. Their beer offerings include everything from the 2014 WBC Gold Award winning Belgian-Style Tripel, Candi, to the amply hopped, Ram’s Head IPA. Their soda offerings include: Old Fashioned Root Beer, Cream Soda, Black Cherry, and Ginger Ale. There is sure to be a beverage that will please every palette.
To complement the comprehensive beverage selection, Mr. Bar B Que will provide the evenings food choices. The highlight of the menu will be a pig roast, but other offerings, including vegetarian items, will also be provided. All of the great cuisine and drinks will be accented by live music by Kevin Sarkissean and games to be enjoyed by everyone. Also, while you are enjoying the event, there will be a raffle that will take place to raise funds to combat breast cancer in the name of Angela Vicario, one of our alumna who recently passed due to this illness.
The cost of this event will be $25 per person and will include food, drinks, games, music, and even a commemorative glass.
