Get Your Green and White On

Support students' futures at Wilmington University's 9th annual scholarship ball

Celebrate Wilmington University's commitment to accessible education and help students achieve their dreams of earning college degrees at the ninth annual Green & White Scholarship Ball on Saturday, October 21, from 7 p.m. to midnight.

At this black-tie masquerade party, the Doberstein Admissions Center on WilmU's New Castle campus will be transformed into an amazing ballroom and multiple rooms throughout the building become fun and exotic destinations. The school's administrators, faculty, staff, and friends — along with local, state and federal VIPs — enjoy the flavors of the area's top restaurants. Multiple bands and ensembles perform a variety of live music, and the gala's silent auction is renown for the most popular offerings from the surrounding tri-state area. Guests bid on exciting experiences ranging from luxurious spas to the most desirable vacations, not to mention fine wines, art work, jewelry and much more. As guests make their way to favorite rooms and savor each experience, WilmU students benefit from an investment into their future.

Tickets are $100 each, and are available online or at the door on the night of the event. Since the event's vendors and suppliers are donating their services, every cent earned from the event proceeds goes directly to Wilmington University's Annual Fund, which provides scholarships and financial assistance to deserving students, allowing them to complete their education.

"We care about our students, and we want to help them reach their goals," said Gloria Johnson, senior director of the Annual Fund. "What better way to help our students than by partnering with community members who support Wilmington University for this fundraiser? It's a joy to see the students' smiling faces when they receive their scholarship certificates at the awards ceremony in June. I can't thank our sponsors enough for their generosity."
