Dual-Credit Advantage Accelerated Option - B.S. Video and Film Production to M.S. Digital Communication

Students in the B.S. Video and Film Production degree program have the option of completing five graduate Digital Communication core courses as part of the undergraduate degree program.  Students selecting this option can complete both the B.S. degree and the graduate courses by completing 120 credits (105 undergraduate credits and 15 graduate credits).  Using the Dual-Credit Advantage, students would be able be able to take graduate courses at an undergraduate rate. Students selecting this option are not required to pursue the M.S. Digital Communication degree.

The five graduate core courses (15 credits) needed for Digital Communication are listed below and would count as five undergraduate technology elective courses (15 credits) towards the undergraduate degree:

  • COM 6100 Emerging Tech and Comm
  • COM 6250 Digital Content and Visual Data - or - MCM 6104 Strategic Communication
  • COM 6600 Crisis Communication and Risk
  • MCM 6101 Communication Writing
  • MCM 6102 Legal and Ethical Issues
