Biography

After obtaining her BSN from East Carolina University, Lori earned her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Wilmington University and is board certified through ANCC. She received her DNP from Widener University. Her capstone project implemented additional nutrition education for nurse practitioners in order to improve provider confidence and better patient outcomes.

In addition to her role as Regional Chair of the NP program and Assistant Professor, Lori currently practices palliative and hospice medicine with Delaware Hospice. Additionally, her experience encompassed internal and family medicine. She is passionate about mission work and serves in the Dominican Republic and Kenya, providing medical care for the underserved with Foundation for Peace.
