Canvas Student Account Access Policy

Upon registering for your first class, a Canvas account will be provided. Access to individual courses in Canvas follows the Canvas Course Timeline, opening two weeks prior to the course start date. If you experience a delay in accessing Canvas within 24 hours of registering, please promptly submit a ticket to the Help Desk for assistance.

Canvas access is linked to your active student status. If you are not enrolled for three consecutive semesters, your access to Canvas will be discontinued. This includes loss of access to submitted assignments, instructor feedback, course materials, and any documents stored within Canvas or connected services.

Note for Graduates: Wilmington University graduates retain access to their WilmU email and many university services. However, Canvas access is not retained after graduation.

Recommendation: Be sure to download and preserve your academic work before losing access.
