Biography

Dr. Todd Hackett-Slimm is a career educator whose experiences include teaching both general and special education.  At an early age, he entered into administration which became an experience that spanned over 20 years and included assistant principalships, principalships, director of special education and related services, and district level appointments.  His college preparations certified him as an elementary school teacher, special education teacher, teacher of psychology, teacher of reading, reading specialist, supervisor, school social worker, principal, school business administrator, and superintendent. 

Dr. Hackett-Slimm began work in higher education as an adjunct in the doctoral program in 2014.  He started full time with Wilmington University in 2018.  His positions with the University have included full-time faculty in Advanced Programs, chair of special education programs, and chair of the doctoral program in educational leadership.  His areas of expertise include special education and educational leadership.
