Undergraduate
Undergraduate Admission Requirements
In addition to the general requirements for all applicants, those seeking an undergraduate degree should take note of the following:
RN - to - BSN Majors: Unencumbered RN license
Your unencumbered RN license1 must be uploaded to your Admissions Portal.
[1] - Pre-RN option applicants - once licensure has been achieved, please upload a copy of your unencumbered RN license to the Admissions Portal to enroll in BSN core nursing courses.↩
SAT/ACT scores are not required for general admission but may exempt you from taking the English and math placement assessments. However, student-athletes and homeschooled students are required to submit scores.
A high school diploma with a graduation date or GED is required for students transferring fewer than 15 credits from other post-secondary institutions. View our transcript submission policy for details.
Admission to certain College of Education undergraduate programs require applicants to have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for coursework completed during the most recent two years of the applicant’s general education, whether secondary or post-secondary, OR approval from the Program Chair.

In addition to the general requirements for all applicants, applicants to certificate programs should also review the specific requirements for their chosen certificate type:
Students currently enrolled in a degree program at Wilmington University are required to submit an additional application when applying for a certificate. Contact the University to discuss this with your Academic Advisor or Program Chair.
Post-Bachelor’s Certificates
Post-BSN certificates require an official Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree transcript conferred from an accredited institution.
Post-Master's Certificates and Certificates of Advanced Study
Post-MSN certificatesrequire an official Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree transcript conferred from an accredited institution.
Admission to some College of Education & Liberal Arts graduate certificate programs requires a Program Planning Conference. Contact the University for more information.
